Semaglutide

Compared with the Semaglutide API produced by rDNA, the chemically synthesized Semaglutide API does not contain host protein and host DNA residues, showing obvious biosafety advantages.
Semaglutide-Alvantis has fewer impurities and lower level of impurity than Novo Ozempic through HPLC (see the figure below), and has no unknown impurities detected above 0.10%, the quality meets the requirements of FDA Guidance: ANDAs for Certain Highly Purified Synthetic Peptide Drug Products That Refer to Listed Drugs of rDNA Origin Guidance for Industry (MAY-2021).

Alvantis Pharma has completed the full process development and validation of the chemical synthesis of Semaglutide (batch size≥1kg). 

How does semaglutide work?

Semaglutide works to lower high blood sugar by increasing the amount of insulin that is released, lowering the amount of glucagon released and by delaying gastric emptying. Semaglutide also controls appetite and so helps you reduce the amount of food that you want to eat.  Semaglutide is a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) agonist.
